Developing Decentralized Applications (DApps)

A decentralized application still needs a friendly interface. A simple journal DApp can have an entry list, a text field and a Save button, with the program enforcing who can change entries.

The basics

  • The frontend reads account data through an RPC connection and displays it.
  • The wallet signs requested transactions; connecting a wallet alone does not approve a write.
  • Show clear states: waiting for approval, submitting, confirmed, or failed. Refresh the entry only after confirmation.

Try it yourself

Draw your journal screen and label which actions only read data and which require a signed transaction. Add a helpful message for a rejected wallet request.
