Deploying Smart Contracts on the Polygon Network
After practicing in Remix VM, you can deploy the same Counter contract to Amoy. Deployment is a transaction that creates a new contract address.
The basics
- Check Polygon’s official Amoy settings: chain ID 80002 and gas token POL. Use an Amoy RPC from the official network page.
- In Remix, compile Counter and choose the browser-wallet environment in Deploy & Run. Approve the connection, check the selected account and deploy.
- Wait for confirmation, then save the contract address and network together. The address alone is not enough to identify the deployment.
Try it yourself
Find your deployment transaction in the Amoy explorer. Check that it succeeded and copy the contract address into your notes.
