Experience and Background
I bring a strong software development background combined with practical cybersecurity experience and knowledge of cloud architecture and artificial intelligence. My interest in security began with the predecessors of Kali Linux, exploring wireless security, network scanning and packet analysis. I have developed these skills through OWASP-focused study, PortSwigger training, OffSec course material and hands-on penetration testing in my dedicated cybersecurity lab.
My work covers web application vulnerabilities, authentication weaknesses and system permissions, alongside security monitoring and event investigation using Wazuh and Sysmon. My cloud expertise includes AWS Solutions Architect knowledge, supported by my development and architecture experience. I also hold the AWS Certified AI Practitioner certification, with knowledge of AI and generative AI concepts, AWS AI services and responsible AI practices. This combination allows me to approach security across application code, infrastructure, cloud environments and emerging AI technologies, with a focus on identifying weaknesses and delivering practical improvements.
Strengths: Delivering Training in Moldova
An achievement I value is delivering training in Moldova, sharing my knowledge and experience with others. This involved preparing the sessions, organising the material and explaining technical concepts clearly to participants. The experience strengthened my communication and presentation skills and gave participants an opportunity to learn from my practical experience. It reinforced the importance of knowledge sharing—a contribution I would be keen to continue within the European Institutions and Agencies.
Strengths: Building a Practical Cybersecurity Laboratory
I designed and built a dedicated cybersecurity lab to expand my software development experience into security testing and monitoring. I configured isolated networks, Windows and Linux systems, vulnerable applications, and monitoring tools including Wazuh and Sysmon. I then carried out controlled tests, investigated security events and documented weaknesses and remediation options. This strengthened my understanding of both offensive and defensive security and my ability to connect vulnerabilities with their underlying causes. The resulting skills support my contribution to teams through clearer explanations of security risks and practical recommendations for improving applications and infrastructure.

How I Work
• Curiosity first: understand the system before changing it
• Security by design: simple architectures, explicit invariants, tests
• Team-first: patient, empathetic, communicates early, unblocks others
• Persistence: I don’t run from hard problems; I ask for help when it saves time
